Length converter
For length: convert one dimension between selected linear units.
Unit converters translate a value from one unit into another: metres into feet, Celsius into Fahrenheit, gigabytes into gibibytes. In unit converters, choose the source and target units to set the direction. Other tools have their own modes: writing a number in words, for example, has no reverse conversion.
Convert angles between degrees, radians, gradians and turns.
Convert area between metric and imperial units.
Convert cups, spoons and millilitres — metric and US measures differ.
Cups, spoons and millilitres into grams — and back — for a chosen product.
Convert data rate between Mbit/s and MB/s — bits are not bytes.
Convert density between kg/m³, g/cm³ and pounds per cubic foot.
Convert bytes between decimal and binary units.
Convert energy between joules, kilowatt-hours, calories and BTU.
Convert volumetric flow between m³/h, litres per minute and CFM.

Convert between metric and imperial length units.
Convert mass between metric and imperial units.
Convert power between watts, kilowatts and both kinds of horsepower.

Sieverts, millisieverts, microsieverts and rem, converted both ways.
Convert speed between km/h, m/s, mph and knots.
Convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin and Rankine.
Convert time between milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks.
Convert torque between N·m, kgf·m and pound-force feet.
Convert volume between litres, cubic metres and gallons.
Convert coordinates between degrees-minutes-seconds and decimal degrees.
Convert between lakh, crore and the familiar thousands and millions.
Write a whole number in words; the separate amount line is fixed to RUB and00 kopecks.
Ream mass from sheet size, grammage and sheet count.
Convert sizes between the original and the model at a 1:N scale.
For length: convert one dimension between selected linear units.
For area: use square units rather than the length conversion factor.
Choose source and destination units first. Check whether the number represents length, area or volume.
When converting metres to centimetres, square the factor for area and cube it for volume.
Unit converters with source and target selectors can be reversed. Other tools have their own modes: number-to-words produces words from a number and does not parse those words back into a number.
A gigabyte is 1,000,000,000 bytes and a gibibyte is 1,073,741,824. The gap is about 7% and it shows up on drive capacities.
They are different volume units: a US liquid gallon is exactly 3.785411784 L and an imperial gallon exactly 4.54609 L. Choose the convention used for the original volume.
Some factors follow exact definitions, such as 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Numerical arithmetic and display still have finite precision; an exact definition does not promise arbitrarily many correct decimal digits. Check the unit convention and the tool’s limits.
