Electricity usage calculator
For electricity use and cost from appliance power, operating time and tariff.
Everyday calculations that come up around the house: how much electricity an appliance uses and what that costs at your tariff, how to split a bill with a tip across a group, and how long a pool takes to fill at a known flow rate. Every assumption is visible, and the rates and prices are yours to enter.

For electricity use and cost from appliance power, operating time and tariff.
For an indicative room heating power under the selected form’s assumptions.
Use appliance power, actual on-time and your tariff; for heating, prepare room dimensions and applicable model conditions.
A kilowatt is power; a kilowatt-hour is energy. Required heating power is not continuous electrical consumption.
Your bill gives the price per kilowatt-hour. Electricity usage has a single tariff; with several rate bands, calculate each band’s consumption and price separately, then add the costs.
Power × time assumes the entered power over the entered operating time. A cycling appliance is not continuously active at its rated power. Use suitable active time or measured average power; the calculator does not infer switching cycles.
It depends on country, venue and situation. The initial 10% is an editable calculation example, not a regional recommendation; you choose the percentage.
