Fraction calculator
For fraction operations when numerator and denominator should be retained.
School and applied maths: prime factorisation, division with remainder, roots of a quadratic equation, a proportion with one unknown, logarithms and Roman numerals. Integer tasks have stated precision and size limits; roots, logarithms and statistical results may be approximate. Each tool explains its own model and allowed inputs.

Round to a chosen number of decimal places, to the nearest, down or up.
How many respondents you need for a given accuracy.
Mean, median, mode, range and standard deviation for a list of numbers.
An average that respects how much each value counts: grades, shares, volumes.
How many standard deviations a value sits away from the mean.
For fraction operations when numerator and denominator should be retained.
For a common divisor or multiple of integers, for example when finding a common denominator.
Write down signs, numerators and nonzero denominators; use integers for GCD and LCM.
A decimal approximation is not always the exact fraction. Rounding does not make division by zero valid.
They show the intermediate figures — discriminant, quotient, number of divisors — so you can see where the answer came from.
The rules depend on the task. For integer division with remainder, the remainder follows the dividend’s sign. Equations accept finite coefficients within their stated limits; other tools have their own sign rules.
Several tasks have a domain: you cannot divide by zero, take a logarithm of a non-positive number, or factorise one.
