How it works
Formula and logic
Both endpoints are included. The default workweek is Monday–Friday; working Saturday adds Saturday but keeps Sunday excluded. When all weekends count as working, the Saturday switch has no effect. In the form, choose one date and click “Add date”; add further dates one at a time. Duplicates count once, dates outside the interval have no effect, and an invalid date rejects the calculation. An exclusion takes precedence over a weekend: it belongs to excluded dates rather than the weekend row. Calendar days equal working + weekend + excluded days. Public holidays, transferred workdays and a national employment calendar are not loaded. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD and years 0001–9999 under the proleptic Gregorian calendar, without country-specific historical changeovers.

From 1 to 28 February 2026 inclusive: 28 calendar days,20 Monday–Friday workdays and 8 weekend days, with no exclusions.

FAQ
How are business days counted?
Both endpoints count. Full weeks and the remaining weekdays are counted under the selected weekend rules, then unique excluded dates are removed with priority over the weekend category.
Can I change how weekends are treated?
Yes. Choose whether weekend days count as workdays before reading the total.
Are public holidays excluded automatically?
No. Enter any holidays or other dates to exclude yourself; the calculator does not assume a country-specific holiday calendar.
What happens when an excluded date is also a weekend?
It appears once as an excluded date, rather than in the weekend count. Duplicates and dates outside the selected interval do not reduce the total again.
